I have some concerns about Freedom Group. Quality, parts from the lowest bidder etc. If they happen to go under, they sure own a lot of companies.

 

Look at it this way, had Freedom Group not acquired some of the companies it did, would they still be around anyway.

And some other investment conglomerate will buy some or most of them. The gun industry is in a real boom right now, and as long as we keep metaphorically backing dump trucks full of cash up to their front doors there will be a long line waiting to invest.

 

Loss of jobs or not, it is capitolism . Companies come, they go.Big companies get bigger and they either utilize the economy of scale and produce a better product for less, or they don't...and competition from creative entrepreneurs creates a new company. I am FINE with this. As long as government stays the hell out of free enterprise, the market will ALWAYS be forced by the consumer and competition to self correct. The Freedom Group so far has not sucked the jobs, cash, and quality out of their acquisitions but even if they do that is ok by me.

The market always works if left to work without chains.
