Gun sales surge among gays, lesbians after Orlando shooting

Gun shops typically see a spike in customers after mass shootings. But this time, many are seeing shoppers they've never really seen before: More gays and lesbians.

West Hollywood Inundated With AMAZING Pro-Gun, Pro-Gay Posters

On Wednesday morning, posters suddenly appeared in West Hollywood, California featuring a gay version of the Gadsden Flag featuring a rattlesnake on top of the gay rainbow. The flags also had the hashtag #ShootBack indicating a more proactive approach to gay self-defense.

Good....I'm for anyone who chooses to not be a victim.
Years ago, living in Knoxville, I used to shoot with a couple of gay guys at one of the ranges on occasion.
They told me once that they were used to insults and judgemental people everywhere they went except for the range. They said they had never felt more accepted anywhere else outside of places that catered to their lifestyle.

Keep in mind this is small change at the margin in the LGBT community, so it changes nothing in terms of big picture politics.

But a good sign nonetheless that some people are starting to question the notion that self-disarmament is their best option.

A lot of the people who are now feeling vulnerable are the same people that have consistently hounded the CEO's and managements of companies to be posted. They will now find themselves working to educate these same people to scrape those stickers off the doors or spend their money somewhere else gun owners have been doing.

Can someone let our President know the tide is changing and the LGBT has found out about the 2A right and plan to exercise it? Oh yeah.......he'll have to change his monologue again.............now people are acting to cling to guns, religion, and protecting the rights of LGBT citizens.

There's an upside to this you may not have considered. These people are probably not gun people for the most part. All their lives they've heard how easy it is to get a gun. Now they're having to jump through the hoops like everyone else. It may cause a change in attitude (except in SF).

It would be funny if the anti's become seen as anti-LGBT by trying to deny their right to arms.
If it takes an attack on the rights of a "protected" group to cause people to realize that the anti-2A coalition want to take fundamental, important rights from all of us... well, at least some people are starting to wake up - I'll call that a step in the right direction.
