I've been down range at a local venue bent over resetting a moving target when I heard the RO tell a shooter to LAMR. I ran up range screaming STOP! And lots of F-words at the top of my lungs.

RO apologized profusely and took himself off the range for the rest of the day. I was a little shaken up, but I understand that its something that can happen.

Don't know about contradicting yourself, do you? Is it the RO's job to clear the range or not? Please, don't even answer. You seem to have a soft spot for RO's as you've seemingly taken many things posted in this thread personally.

Want to be a smart ass? I can play that game well. But my point has nothing to do with being an RO, rather a responsible person who is aware of their surroundings (or what is right in front of their face!).
He has a point. As the RO, I can't say that I would have seen the guy standing there before the shooter, because my focus (literally, my eyes are focused) on the pistol, making sure it stays pointed down range. I'm not watching the targets to see where the shooter is hitting, I'm not watching the steel to see how they are hitting/missing it, I'm watching the gun and listening for anything out of the ordinary. It's a crap shoot as to whether or not the RO should have seen the guy down range before the shooter did.

It's a bad situation, but we don't have enough information to cast blame on anyone just based on this video.
