He has a point. As the RO, I can't say that I would have seen the guy standing there before the shooter, because my focus (literally, my eyes are focused) on the pistol, making sure it stays pointed down range. I'm not watching the targets to see where the shooter is hitting, I'm not watching the steel to see how they are hitting/missing it, I'm watching the gun and listening for anything out of the ordinary. It's a crap shoot as to whether or not the RO should have seen the guy down range before the shooter did.Don't know about contradicting yourself, do you? Is it the RO's job to clear the range or not? Please, don't even answer. You seem to have a soft spot for RO's as you've seemingly taken many things posted in this thread personally.
Want to be a smart ass? I can play that game well. But my point has nothing to do with being an RO, rather a responsible person who is aware of their surroundings (or what is right in front of their face!).
