I assembled my packet consisting of the application, two fingerprint cards, copy of my training certificate, and copies of my SC drivers license and SC CWP. I sent it last week by certified mail and it was received on the 28th of August. Today (Sept 3), guess what I got in the mail? My Arizona CWP dated 8/30/2013. Absolutely awesome!

Reciprocity.

I'm not sure what the lines are currently but NC didn't have Reciprocity with some states that Arizona did have. Since you can get a "Non Resident" CCP from them it gave you the option to carry in more states than with just your NC or SC permit.
Is that still an issue? I haven't looked in awhile. What states don't we have reciprocity with that you can cover with non-res ccws? Anyone know without a long search?

I don't think it's still an issue.

The other reason is ease of obtaining. Like the OP said, it took 7 days instead of 90 and all the fees and hassle of going to the sheriff's office etc.

Hubby and I both have New Hampshire Non Resident for the same Georgia purpose. I let mine expire this time, he kept his, their fee went up to $100 for a renewal. If I go for business, I have to disarm anyway, and we haven't been to Ga for fun in many years. I couldn't see both of us dumping that much money for something we may not need. He will just have to be my bodyguard if we need to be in Ga any time soon.
