    Hey guys,

The Hickory Gun Show is this weekend (3/17 and 3/18). We will be there at the Backwoods Bang Shop booth. Drop by and see us!

    Who else is going?

Drove down this morning to pickup some reloading supplies only to find out after I paid to get my wife and myself in that reloading supplies were not allowed anymore in the Hickory shows.
No where did it state that in their adds.
    Wasted time, money and trip.

That's ridiculous - wonder what their justification is. Sorry they wasted your trip :-(

The officer out front along with the guy taking money told me it's the fire marshal.

Well - I'm a Level III fire inspector and the fire marshal - they are taking an extremely liberal interpretation of the code. Ammunition and powder can be displayed as long as they have a permit and do not exceed amounts specified in Chapter 33 of the NC Fire Code. It's not a whole lot different than limitations placed on vendors in mercantile buildings. There are a lot of requirements but they can be adhered to when the inspector and vendor work together.

Clarification - I'm not the fire marshal there

It wouldn't have been that bad if they had let it be known or even had a sign letting us know before we stood in line to give them our money.
I've been going to gun shows for many years and this is a first for me.
I started to ask if the marshal's name was Barney Fife.

There was reloading powder out along with primers. I didn't see much of it, but it was there.

I walked the whole show before I asked to find out the fire marshal forbid it to be in the building.
