I'll start. I had very little interest in guns until I was around 25. My wife (girlfriend at the time) and I lived in a great little house in south Charlotte that was alarmingly close to some rough neighborhoods. I used to travel a bunch for work and never really felt comfortable leaving her alone with a 15 lb. dog as her only protection. Her dad gave us a Winchester 1300 defender for self defense and I was bitten by a bug that has cost me thousands of dollars. I went from thinking guns cause more harm than good to a concealed carrier, hunter, newbie competitive shooter, reloader, AR builder, aka all around gun geek, in only a few years.
