Ok so I've spent most of my evening getting a metal ring off my muzzle. I finally removed it with the careful help of a dremel tool. After removing the ring, I noticed that the muzzle was threaded. My only question now is, how do I tell what kind of threads they are? I need to know what dimensions they are so I can pick out a corresponding attachment with the same threads. I'll post pictures a little later.

You can buy a thread guage at you local hardware store to determine the size and pitch, I think most ak's have a left hand thread though ask a few others as I am no ak expert.

Yep. I placed an order for one of those slant brakes as well as one of the M-16 birdcage style brakes. They both had good reviews and weren't too expensive. I also placed an order for the Russian AK BP-02 "TACT" LOW MOUNT w/ Picatinny Rail
