Let me introduce you to IBX Tactical. I am a custom Kydex holster manufacturer located in the Inner Banks of North Carolina, just a few miles from where Blackbeard called home. All of myKydex items are hand crafted, with attention paid to every detail. Prior to manufacturing holsters and accessories, I spent almost twenty years in the dental laboratory industry, often working with thermoformed plastics. Using this knowledge base, and having been an avid shooter for most of my life, I am able to apply my skills along with the attention to detail needed in the dental field to produce high quality holsters.

One of the main differences you will find with IBX Tactical, is our use of a curved Kydex press.

The curved press imparts a gentle curve into the Kydex and greatly reduces heating and re shaping in the last stages of construction that can warp and weaken the finished product.

It is also important to understand the physiology of where the holster will be worn. For example, if it is carried directly on the hip (the 3 o'clock position for a right- hander), the natural draw stroke typically dictates a straight draw holster with little or no cant. Behind the hip usually requires a pistol to be canted for ease of draw, but also it tucks the gun into the body a little better. The problem with this is a human hip is generally a pretty tight semi-circle with a relatively tight apex, with relatively flat areas on either side of the hip. At IBX Tactical, one of the questions we ask is, "Where are you going to wear it?" Once we get the position, we can shape the holster accordingly. For example, a 3 o'clock holster will have more pronounced angles to follow the hip apex, however, a 4 o'clock carry position will have a more pronounced curve on the front, but a lesser curve on the flatter area behind the hip.

The holster on the left has been shaped for a 4 o'clock carry, the pink one on the right has been shaped for a 3 o'clock carry.

A IBX Tactical, we also use the strongest belt loops made. They are a closed design, injection molded loops that because of their design and ultra-strong material, can withstand torque and flexing that will quickly cause other loops to fail.

IBX Tactical only uses USA-made Kydex and many colors are available.

Thank you so much for the compliment...
It is a fun process.

I am sure you use them but index has been a great source for materials and blueguns. They have opened a Richmond location so shipping cost and time is much faster now.

Can you make mag pouches for AK style mags?
I am working hard on that. That rear tab really screws up the proper draw and it cuts the Kydex every time it is pulled. The Bulgarian Circle 10 mags are a little easier than the steel Combloc, but both are still very difficult. I have one for the Circle 10 in prototype phase that shows promise. I will update if it works. In the meantime, I'm impatiently waiting for the new Magpul AK mags. By the looks of it the Magpul mag it might be a bit easier.

Do u have a price list.
I have finally nailed down three specific models. In the Pirate theme of the Inner Banks, IBX Tactical's holsters will be named after Blackbeard's ships the Revenge, Queen Anne's Revenge and the Adventure.

The Revenge is our standard holster. The back half of the holster is molded in .080 Kydex for superior strength. The front half is molded in .060 Kydex for its superior flexibility. By blending these two thicknesses, these holsters have both strength and flexibility that gives them durability along with the ease of draw. They come standard with low-profile 'Pancake" loops, but the closed loops are available upon request at no extra charge. They are available in all solid colors. The Revenge is priced at $45.

The Queen Anne's Revenge is a holster that is specifically designed for women. It has all the features of the Revenge, but additionally, it has a spacer system in the belt loops that pulls the butt of the gun slightly away from a woman's hip. This holster was developed with strong input from my wife who hated holsters that pressed the pistol into her side when holstered. The Queen Anne's Revenge is priced the same as the Revenge at $45

The Adventure is our heavy duty holster. It is constructed of .080 Kydex throughout. Coupled with the standard injection molded, closed loops, the Adventure is a workhorse ready for hard use. It is available in your choice of any solid color at $50. It is also available in your choice of several Camo Kydex patterns for $55. The Adventure is also the only holster that we recommend for the hard-use duty of being a light-bearing holster. The Adventure, Light Bearing Holster costs $65 in standard colors and $70 in camo Kydex. The Adventure is also available with the "Queen Anne" belt loop spacers.

Our Double pistol mag carriers are $35. They come standard with tension adjustable screws.

Single pistol mag carrier is $20 if no tension screw is needed. Most models of guns have a notch somewhere on them that helps with retention, but several, the H&K USP metal mags for example, are slippery and require additional tension.

If a retention screw is required, or requested, the single mag carrier with a tension screw is $25

Mag carriers for AR-15 magazines are $30.

I also offer a 10% discount and FREE shipping to all CSC members.

If anyone has any additional questions about prices please feel free to message me.
