Medical bills force me to sell this.
This gun is in excellent condition. It started as an Ishapore Enfield but had a horribly cracked stock. I replaced it with an Enfield #1MK3 stock that was an old Drill Purpose stock and it is stamped "DP". It has some masterful repairs which I think are just great because they reflect the true workmanship of the British. I also used the traditional #1Mk3 brass buttplate which I polished up.
All the screws slots were mangled and of poor Indian quality so I replaced virtually any that I could with much better British screws. I also replaced the trigger guard with a British one and you can see the finish and quality are much better than the Ishapore arsenal's.
This gun has a new, aftermarket extractor to improve the original worn one and an aftermarket peep sight (I also kept the original sight) which makes this thing so accurate offhand.
I also have the original 10rd magazine and a like new aftermarket 10rd magazine. A period sling is attached.
Bolt, nose cap, and receiver all have matching numbers.
No ugly black paint.
