I'm working late tonight, getting ready for 2 weeks of biz travel....and there's a $@))#@%&4!$!@##$^# bag piper outside my office doing his thing.

We're having an "Art" festival in town this weekend and this dude has his hat out playing for both people in attendance.

Now, don't get me wrong, I like the arts as much as the next guy. But I truly believe I may need to shoot this guy here pretty soon.

I actually like the pipes in a venue like the Highland games or a military ceremony, etc. But on the street right outside my door while I'm trying to write some pretty complex freaking software code?

Working late right now...wish i had bagpipes...the boredem is killing me. I am listening to puter fans buzz. have 3 mice on one mouse pad, 5 monitors going to 3 systems, and 2 KBs. Im so burned out it takes me a couple tries to get the right combination while looking in the right direction.

I actually like the bagpipes - brings back found memories from my childhood.

But I can empathize - played badly, or while I'm trying the concentrate on something difficult? I'd probably want to use the guy for target practice too.

I also love bagpipe music. But I don't think it's an accident that the Scot regiments often had pipers at the front when they went into battle.

(But having them at the rear might've motivated the troops to move forward.)
