IWB is tearing up my seat

I have a generic IWB holster for my PF9. It has a metal clip that I clip to my jeans, belt over that. The metal clip is scratching my car seats. Is there an alternative other than something like a Super Tuck?

You can get Rick Holmes to make you a nice Kydex holster, or the N8 holsters may be less abusive.

I have the same problem with my IWB, jacked up a kitchen chair and the screws have poked a few holes in a number of my shirts.

I clip my holster on my pants and then put my belt on over the clip...hides it better and helps with damage. I have leather seats in my truck so when I get in, I try to pull my jacket/sweatshirt whatever down to cover the exposed portion of clip to protect seat.

I don't do the tuckable holsters very much, mostly because I find it easier to just adjust my wardrobe around a traditional holster.

I find that the holsters that incorporate belt loops such as this one:

do a better job of spreading the weight of the gun on the belt. They also do not tear up seats, clothes, etc. Though I've never really had a problem with metal or plastic clips doing that either personally.

my rgrizzle holster has leather loops like that as well, i like them a lot more than the metal j clips found on most of the leather/kydex tuckables.

I second the N82 ("Nate Squared"). This is what I have used for over a year now.
Soft suede leather and elastic won't damage seats, chairs, or clothing. Smooth on your gun, too.
I avoid the "Professional" version with hard molded form, which scratched the finish on my bud's Sig. The added benefit is that the smooth contours of the elastic disappear under clothing easier better than the square shape of the hard molded. Ten bucks cheaper, too.

good stuff. The problem with the hook is that it has to flair out so you can get it open enough to go over your pants. Belt does not go low enough to cover it.
