It's bullshit, like all email is.

 

Jury service email. That's a new one to me. I have emails from the IRS telling me they are going arrest me if I don't call them, from Microsoft telling me I need to emergency download a new product or my machine will forever be corrupt, and from good friends in Africa telling me of my awesome inheritance, but not the local courts.

 

What sorta threw me off was the as-yet unopened Word doc attached. Usually these scams have a link they want you to click. And my name was in the middle of the body of the message.

My federal was first mailed, had to fill it out and return with info. Then they mailed one saying I was selected. Then they would text for updates such as delays or changes. Email......Sounds like a trap

 

I once got a subpoena by email. No kidding. I did not want to testify in a case, and was dodging a summons. Slept in a friend's office the night before... they wanted my testimony in court, and the trial was scheduled a day before I was headed to Guatemala on vacation. Had a pissed off judge, but what can he do?

 

 

Delete it. If they want you that bad, they know where you're at. in your office on your PC, bitching about spam emails from the govt.

Not necessary. They'll have proof that it was delivered, which would be enough to charge you with contempt of court....which wouldn't be a bad idea. We need a little more contempt of court these days.
