One of my hobbies is turning basic wood into beautiful wood and then putting that, along with fancy pins and liners. I dye and stabilize my own wood before matching it with a blade. The stabilization process is – Put wood in vacuum chamber… put a weight on top of the wood… pour in a special acrylic liquid… cover it all… pull a full vacuum on the chamber… then, after a couple of hours… take the wood out… wrap individually in aluminum foil… bake at 200+ for an hour… take out and sand, sand and sand. Then, I can start the process of putting the wood on the knife to make a knife. I wish that I could make my own steel but I crushed my legs and cannot stand for that long
    .
If I can figure out how to post pictures, below is some of my work. I hope you take it as meant… knife porn.

I am sorry that the pictures are so BiG but I do not know how to change the size for this board. I wish my kids were not grown up because I need aa 10-year old to help me with computer stuff.

Thanks. A couple of those were made when I started out. The second knife, the Damascus skinner with red, white and blue scales is my favorite. The third is also great and fits the hand perfectly.

Works of fine art! Very Nice!

When you take the pictures w/phone or camera, back away two feet from object (knife) then three feet. Start posting one pic. from each distance until it appears correct here. It may work?

Good luck and a great hobby.

Keeps me out of trouble. lol...
