One of the reasons I returned my Lee is because of it's construction. It feels like a toy..... too much thin cast pot metal and plastic.

 

What did you get instead?

I have a Lee 1000 for the 9mm.Probably loaded 20,000 rounds through it and not a single problem.

 

I had that happen to one of mine. Contacted Lee by email. Three days later a set arrived in the mail. Easy breezy. Stuff happens.

 

I agree. Sent them a trouble ticket with pictures attached. Let them decide what they want to do. Just had too many annoying issues.

 

They will take care of you. I broke my priming lever due to my own stupidity and had a replacement within a couple days, no charge.

I have many thousands of rounds through my Lee Pro 1000. The only thing that's ever broken on it is the little square piece of aluminum that holds the case feeder Z bar. Lee replaced it USPS First Class. 2 days. Give'em a call, they'll treat you right.

 

I agree they have a great warranty and great cust svc but I have had too many issues in less than a year that might be attributed to a quality problems.

 

I've got many thousands of rounds loaded on my Dillon and the only things that's ever broken is the........nothing Step up to a Dillon, RCBS, or Hornady.

 

That's my ultimate plan. A 650xl.

 

I have used their Breech Lock and Classic Turret and loved them for single-stage work. I had no issues whatsoever that were not caused by user error. But after all the reviews I've about the Lee 1000 I would definitely look elsewhere for a progressive. It seems to be THE press for people who love to constantly tinker with stuff.
