holy crap, I'll bet their founder is spinning in his grave like a dremel tool:

“You don’t need a gun to try on a pair of jeans and it’s really out of respect for the safety of our employees and consumers shopping in our stores,” says the 59-year-old vegan and former U.S. Army captain. Bergh, who is not a gun owner, noted with pride that he has fired weapons countless times and surmised he could still clean a gun blindfolded as he could in his military days.

No doubt. Just as good at half (or more) the price.

Plus then I get to say to my wife "you are giving me a tangler in my wranglers".

And they last. I've worn carhartt, Lee, etc for work and Wranglers hold up as long if not longer at half the price.

I haven't worn Levis in many years. I usually wear Carhartt or C E Schmitt, the Tractor Supply store brand.

I wear Wranglers. Haven't bought a pair of Levi's since before I was married, now I won't going forward for sure. Wranglers just seem to hold up better.

I frikin hate denim anyhow. I'll never understand how something that tears so easily and turns into a straight jacket when wet became the "standard" for work pants.

Who actually goes to a "Levi-Strauss" store to buy jeans, anyway? I don't go to a "Lee" store, "Wrangler" store, "Dockers" store, or any other brand-name store to buy my clothes. I go to department stores and the like.

You know...places that have a whole boatload of different brands to pick and choose from, according to fit, fashion, and whatever sales are going on at the time?

And if the stores I go to aren't posted, or aren't posted in accordance with jurisdictional law (where such signs carry the weight of law), he can bugger off.

Everyone needs to pen a respectful but adamant letter, either electronically or otherwise, whether you wear their jeans or not, and inform the good Captain (USA, ret) that you will no longer purchase nor wear their products, you will pen similar letters to companies they sponsor, boycotting those products as well and laying the blame at Levi-Stauss' feet. Make sure he understands that injecting the nonsense politics of a lunatic fringe will cost his company and those associated with his company money.

    And then follow through.

Are side is good at pushing, pushing, pushing until we win one - or the danger to our Rights demands firm action.

We really suck in the lull times. We are reactionary and defensive most times.

Let's be proactive and go on offense.

I have seen one "Levis store". It is at the Tanger outlets.

Never noticed a sign? But saved quite a bit on a flannel shirt, lol.

I haven't worn Levi's since they dropped their funding for the Boy Scouts back in the early 90's.

FYI...Dockers are made by Levi's. I quit buying Dockers years ago when they came out in support of gay Scout leaders.

Next time I'm in Paris, I'll think about stopping in to buy some!

The article described him as a "vegan." Yet he also had a pic with a caption that said "dressed in Levis from head to toe." Vegans don't wear leather, and Levis belts are all leather, based on what I could see. So he either doesn't know what a real vegan is, or the reporter trumped it up.

    Wranglers.
I'm pretty tough on jeans. I shove steel tools in the pockets all day every day. Wranglers have beat all at much less cost. I can't spend $40, $50 on jeans and beat them up. Wranglers hold up better and cost way less.
Carhart jeans are crap. Their duck material is ok. And Carhart is great if you're a big guy, but they don't make clothes for normal size people.
DuLuth makes some great jeans made from fire hose material. Pricey, and feels like you're wearing a fire hose.
Levi's are way overpriced, thin, and the belt loops suck for owb too. But they're very pretty.

If you work for a living and tear shit up, Wranglers.
