The AR15.com guides are all anyone needs to build a rifle. It's free and its there whenever you need it, unlike a DVD or a friend across the state.

Also, I would really examine the quality of the build (ie Polymer lower) and the parts you use. You don't want to finish a build and then immediately see something else you wish you'd used.
