I vote SR over M&P all day along except for weight. I don't know if they have changed their stance, but S&W was also refusing to sell replacement barrels to customers when their barrels split.

 

Have split barrels been an issue? I've been wanting a MP10

 

I don't know that it is a widespread issue, but it only takes one case to learn they don't sell replacement barrels. What kind of company won't sell a replacement barrel when needed or desired?

 

Yeah I'm reading about it now. Never realized their barrel was proprietary and they won't repair or replace even if you pay. I've been wanting one but that just turned me off.

I have a Windham AR-15 that I am very happy with. The 308 looks like a good value, about 1000 for basic model.

 

Barnes is supposed to have their new AR-10 out, like now. I can promise you Andrew will stand behind it.

Love my M&P 10 and it's a track driver. But the SR is going to run you twice maybe two and half times the price?! No thanks.

 

What the heck are you talking about? I paid $1600 out the door for my SR762. M&P10s average about $1300 plus tax. With the SR, you get 3 magazines, a rail system, and an adjustable piston system. Heck, the rail alone nearly makes up the price difference.

Oh, let's not forget the quality set of sights that come on the Ruger.

 

Got my m&p 10 from gunrunners for 1050.00 last week. For 1600. I was able to add a geislle trigger a nice pws muzzle brake and a magpie stock

 

Have the the Windham in 556 and 7.62x39 the quality and accuracy of these guns are outstanding

 

SR762 all the way. You get what you pay for and I couldn't be more pleased with mine.

 

Have you looked at the DPMS G2? They are getting lots of really good reviews.
