so like most of you, this has been on my mind lately,

I just got into shooting ars and I have been patiently collecting 30 round mags, but I want your take,
will it pass?do you think it will expire in 10 yrs like the brady bill did? just curious

At this point I don't think you'll see a national magazine ban. However; in the chance once did pass I highly doubt you would see a sunset provision in it
I tend to agree. As things currently stand a federal "Assault Weapons Ban" and "High-Capacity Magazine Ban" are extremely unlikely. Universal background checks seem to be driving the discussions and are the most likely legislation to come from all of this.

I hope you're right on the mag ban... If it does happen you're definitely correct in it not having a sunset provision.
Yep, they learned their lesson. No more bans with sunsets - because having a sunset provision means gun grabbers will have to fight for new legislation all over again but with the added inconvenience of having to explain why their last ban had no effect on crime.
