I've got one on the front of my MI SS handguard, and it fit on fine.

 

It's hitting the top of the rail.

Take the screw out completely. Slide to desired spot, reinstall screw.

 

You would not believe the number of people that come into the shop with this "problem".

Doesn't the screw have to go between the grooves on the rail? Take the screw all the way out if you have to, position the sight, and reinsert the screw.

edit: beat me to it.

 

Yeah sounds like you're trying to lower it onto the rail rather than take the screw out and slide it on...add screw and tighten

Yep, remove it then put it where you want it, push pin back in and tighten down.

 

Remove the DirtyScrew. Clean it. Slide sight to desired position and reinsert clean screw.

 

But it has to be a DirtySCREW! Lol

I did remove the screw but it would not go where I wanted it....I wanted it flush with the end of the rail. I understand now that it has to go in between the slots. I will attempt again when I get home.

I am pretty sure you are going to need a dremel to get the sight on. Make sure to polish all the surfaces after you are done cutting as it will reduce the trigger pull weight and make the gun sub-MOA at 1500 yards!

Oh yeah, by the way, this means don't use a dremel on anything. They are made by the devil and nothing good comes from their spinning awesomeness of evil!!!

We would suggest a screen name change, but it's already Dirty Screw, lol.

 

Just glue it to the end, or use duct tape

What you gonna cover up the dirty screw at the end of that thing with (the one on the loud end)?

 

Yeah..I'm shopping for a flash hider cause I ain't putting the standard A2 birdcage one I have on. It needs something that looks better. I'm thinking of a YHM Phantom...or there was a Troy one I liked I believe.
