My daughter sent me a text earlier letting me know that Miss SC got asked if military style weapons should be banned. She said something to the effect of no and education was needed on guns and their use.

I wish I would have seen it myself, but I'm sure I will see it eventually.

Did anyone else see this?

I can only hope it was the current one...and they didn't go find this one to ask another question.

And that, ladies and germs, is 90% of what is wrong with our country today....her parents should be horse whipped....

That idiot couldn't pour piss out of a boot if the directions were on heel. I'd almost guarantee she has been shaped and crafted for "pageants" since she took her first steps.

Last time I checked, we parade pigs, goats, and cattle in the same fashion, except the winners of those "pageants" become food. However, I'm pretty sure we could find a goat smarter than this woman....

So this will sound like bragging, but I'll just recite the facts. When I was in SC in the 80's I briefly dated two Miss SC runner-ups about a year or two apart. Just happenstance. They were well educated, raised "right", but dumb as bricks. A couple of years earlier, maybe 79-80, I briefly dated Miss NC from the late 70's while I still lived in Charlotte. She was fairly intelligent, and her career had advanced all the way to restaurant hostess.

Miss Colorado wants to put Ellen DeGeneres on the $10 bill.
Of all the great American Women she chooses a talk show host. Sorry Clara Barton...looks like they've forgotten true greatness.
Ellen DeGeneres would be good for a $3 bill, paired up with Little Richard or maybe Doogie Houser.
My experiences are that hot women are like Corvettes...they're fun to drive but you don't wanna own one.

That is a smart young Southern girl (the Miss SC we are discussing on the 2A question). It's difficult to not be a liberal as a young person. It takes pride in oneself and conviction in your ideals...something most young people struggle to develop. While most of these chicks will end up bringing me a beer in Hooters or working in a fly-by-night marketing agency, she may go on to be somebody.

Got to admit, I was pulling for Miss SC after that Military Style Assault Rifle Ban Answer. My wife had the pageant on TV, and I was on the PC, not caring about it, then I heard something about assault weapon ban, and it caught my attention and I watched the rest of it to hear the questions. What's sad, Miss Georgia didn't give a composed answer on the Tom Brady Question, and still won. She needed to be there to feel his balls.

It was a clear No that Miss SC started with, as didn't beat around the bush with confusing rhetoric, and she wasn't confused about her answer. It was straight forward. It's clear that she was speaking what she believed and has given this thought in the past, not giving an answer to please the judges and win. Bravo Miss SC She may be the best thing to come out of Clemson in a while. :D

I don't much care for my generation, but there are plenty of older liberal loons. What is everyone's excuse for them? It honestly gets a little old having everyone crap on the younger generations all the time. After all, it is the generations before them that shape their views. Anyways, it is good to see her come out swinging with a great answer.

While there ARE some teachers who push the liberal agenda, I have yet to meet one that comes to memory after 15 yrs.

I would imagine that some schools push it more than others but this idea that public school teachers in this area are doing it isn't what many think.

College, where there's much more freedom in syllabi is where it's most likely to come from.

Oh and elementary too. [emoji6]

He's right, too you know....

It isn't so much the teachers as the agenda. The agendas, the non-aggression to the point of submissiveness policies regarding bullies...crap like that. Most teachers I've met see eye to eye with me. Hell, a couple I liked enough to become friends with. Another problem is the teachers that just DGAF anymore. While I sympathize, offering no direction and leadership is just as bad as a liberal boot licker pouring on the rhetoric in my opinion.
