What do you think it is? You know, the one that every person should have in their collection.

You are going to get a ton of 10/22 responses but I think the most fun 22 rifle I have ever had was a GSG-5. They look very cool and are fun to shoot when you use the right ammo. An AR15 with a 22 conversion kit is also a lot of fun.

Honestly, my most fun .22 rifle has been my Marlin 60 17rnd. I can hold nearly 20 rounds, and its deadly accurate. Now I love my 10/22, but that rifle is in a different class. The 10/22 feels like a "real" heavy rifle, the 60 feels like a smaller .22.

My Spikes ST-22 will hold a 1/2" at 50yds and is tons of fun to shoot!

I'll let you run my .22 Conversion in your AR when we go to the range so you cab see if you like it.

CDNN was running the best deal on CMMG Stainless Conversions a while back....bolt + 2 mags for $150!!!

CMMG's new Evo Dedicated upper is worth a look as well!

I'll put another vote for the Model 60 in... yes the 10/22 has plenty of after market stuff but the Model 60 is just a plain jane fun shooter.....

My daughters Rossi single shot is a close 2nd....

Everyone should have a single shot bolt action with iron sights, like an old Remington, in their collection.

You will learn a lot about your shooting technique and patience with a simple gun like that.

Plus they are the best gun for introducing new shooters - especially little ones - to the sport.

I'll take my old single shot, a box of shells and a spinner target and burn off tons of stress on a nice afternoon.

CZ 452
Custom 10/22 - such as a Clark
Savage Mark II
Browning T Bolt

I generally shoot for accuracy (try to anyway) and for the money the CZ is hard to beat. Only modification I've done is to the trigger $20) and when I'm doing OK shooting under 1/2 inch at 50 yards is common.

^^^^ Yep, the CZ's are accurate for sure.... it's neck and neck between my Ruger and CZ..... the more accurate your 22 LR is, the more imagination you use for targets.

Tums explode nice with a little puff of smoke.....
