Family of Man Shot While Robbing a Waffle House Calls for Stricter Gun Laws

Dante Williams, 19, and his accomplice Jawan Craig walked into the Waffle House restaurant and "terrorized" the customers in 2012 intent on robbing it at gun point. Upon being approached by Williams, gun in hand, one of the patrons, Justin Harrison - who also had a concealed weapon on him but had an actual permit for it - shot Williams in self-defense, killing him "almost instantly," according to a Fox News affiliate in North Carolina. Fox only recently acquired the video footage from the 2012 incident.

Williams's cousin Tamika McSwain is saying that although what he did was wrong, he shouldn't have died and is calling for stricter gun laws.

It's an all too common distorted sentiment by those that feel there shouldn't be big boy consequences for playing big boy games.

McSwain said her cousin obtained the gun through the crowd the teen hung out with - "the wrong crowd," she said, while noting that she believes more training is needed for CWP carriers, specifically Harrison.

So, the stricter laws would not apply to her cousin, since the gun was obtained illegally. And the training for the CWP holder seemed quite adequate. He went home.

And WINNER!!

That Waffle House was in Spartanburg, you're not going to get their Sheriff to do anything anti gun. One of the most outspoken proponents of CC wearing a uniform. They had some home invasions or sexual assaults, don't remember which, a while back and he told the residents to arm themselves. Told the women they needed to get a CCP and carry. Their Sheriff rocks.

And I think I've eaten in that WH a number of times. Had a couple close calls in there myself.

Well guys we all know that Waffle house is a prime place for this to happen. Doesn't mean the offender deserved to be shot guns are bad only if they are obtained legally all illegal weapons and uses of those weapons is ok if your a hoodrat.

I don't care if I'm eating in the most run down dive in the middle of the worst part of town and the waitress is a one-legged Mexican lady who snuck over the boarder in the back of a truck full of poisoned Chinese dog treats, when you come in waving a gun around threatening everyone you deserve what you get. That might have been the most angelic little fellow ever and was just erring for the only time in his life when he walked in with a deadly weapon threatening peoples lives to take their money, the world might have been robbed of the most unique snowflake it might ever had, but you know what he's NOT doing right now? Trying to rob someone else.

That was the one on 221 at the Chesnee exit off 85. I've ate there several times myself as I've got office space about 2 miles from there. Wright is the Sherriff, he made the news when he came out saying every woman should go get a CCW permit to be able to protect themselves. Had another one of those special snowflakes try kidnapping and raping 2 people and finally pulled a home invasion off and raped the woman who was at home. One of the 2 attempts was right in the middle of dinner time, in one of the busiest areas, at a nice restaurant in an expensive area of town, tried to carjack a woman leaving the restaurant.

He's had a few pro-2a comments hit the news, on the whole I like him. Spartanburg is as bad as any other city right now for the tacti-fool cops but for the most part he keeps them roped in and seems to be protecting the citizens rights, so he gets a passing grade from me anyway.

It also said the unarmed accomplish tried to wrestle the gun away from the CWP holder. So, you just shoot one and the second rushes you during and armed robbery attempt. Wonder why the second guy didn't catch a round or two.

The only thing sad about this ordeal is the family that produced him is probably 50% supported by the US taxpayer. Eff them, eff their little offspring and his carcass, and eff the entire mindset that produces trash like this.
