Hey y’all new member here, I was reading up on the NC turkey hunting regulations, and found something interesting. I noticed that NC does NOT have a shot/load regulation for the take of turkeys. It mentions that nothing bigger than 10gauge is allowed as far as bore. Would it theoretically be legal to use a .410 slug given it weighs the same as a 9mm. I’m not going to do this(12gauge heavi shot) but I was curious on what yall think.

I'm not sure where you'd be aiming with a .410 slug. Generally, using #4 or #5 or #6 shot Turkey loads will give you the spread and the pellet weight to take out the head/neck.

Not sure, but it weights about 110gns and loses velocity fast maybe a 2-3x scope on a single shot and aim for the base of the neck? In my unqualified opinion I wouldn’t think it’d damage a lot of meat
