I'm looking for an indoor pistol range in the Calabash area. Any suggestions?

Welcome to the forum and semi-free America!

Member Col. Mortimer is from the "garden state" but he has assimilated well. :D

Sorry, I know nothing about the Calabash area but I am sure someone will chime in with some info for you.

Welcome aboard! There is an indoor range in Myrtle Beach on highway 17 I think. I went by it a few weeks ago, don't recall the name but it is a reasonably close drive to there from Calabash.

Outback in Ash, NC is about 15 miles or so. Closest indoor range I can think of to Calabash.

Low Country is a CSC sponsor, they have a nice outdoor range there. About 15 miles from calabash. I highly recommend to shoot there if the weather is nice like it was today, several bays for pistol with steel targets ect....also nice rifle ranges and 5 stand skeet. 15 dollars for a day is a good price IMO.

The rest of the indoor ranges are down in Myrtle Beach / Conway/ and Socastee

Myrtle Beach Indoor Range
707 Gunshop
The Gun Store

Also some up in Wilmington.

Welcome to the Club and we're glad to have you join up with us. Stay in touch and hopefully some of us in your area can put together a time for a CSC meet up and shooting event. As Silver Bullet mentioned; Low Country is nice and it's close by when the urge to shoot outdoors strikes.

Thanks for the feedback, guys. I will check out the range in Ash and low country. I am licensed to carry in NC on a non-resident permit but have to get familiar with the rules for SC before visiting the ranges in Myrtle Beach. Living so close to the border I'll be crossing a lot I fear.

You will need a resident permit to carry in SC, they will not honor your non resident permit. Might as well go ahead and sign up for a NC concealed carry course and get your NC resident permit. Call Low country and they can set you up. I believe the class may be done at their store right in Calabash.

The rules in SC are simple. Once you have your NC resident permit you will be GTG in SC, can even go down to Myrtle Beach and visit the restaurants that serve alcohol as long as you don't consume. In SC a building has to be properly signed per specifications by law to ban concealed carry on premises, and you will not notice many businesses that ban carry.

You can review the SC laws here. http://www.usacarry.com/south_carolina_concealed_carry_permit_information.html

Welcome. Wilmington is about an hour north of you on Hwy 17. There are two nice indoor ranges here, both on Market St (Bus. Hwy 17N). Bullzeye Shooting Sports is brand new, you can shoot handguns and long guns. Shooters Choice is a little farther north and is handgun only.
