So I have an Element 2 in hand. Love it, lots of fun. Use it on a Ruger MK3 Lite, Ruger 10/22, and a CZ 452 16" American.
Before the tax stamp was approved for the Element, I went and bought a Tirant 45 and an SDN-6 (mailed Sept 1, 2013). These have obviously not been approved and will likely take another 9 months or so.

Either way, I want to buy myself another can for Christmas and have found a local dealer that has the Octane 9 and SWR Spectre II's in stock. He has lots of other suppressors too but no Liberty. This one would be e-filed so I'll probably get it before the Tirant and SDN-6. The problem is I cant make up my mind between the Spectre and Octane. Anyone wanna help me make a decision?

You're actually covered pretty good caliber wise so you'd be sorta redundant getting another Rimfire can or another centerfire pistol can since the TiRant 45 actually suppresses 9mm pretty good. If you're fine with the redundancy I would take the Octane over the Spectre. Otherwise consider something like a thread on 30cal like the Thunderbeast, AAC Cyclone, or Innovative Arms 7.62

Between the two, I'd pick the Octane 9, because you have a rimfire can in hand, and this can might beat your Tirant and SDN-6 back. Otherwise I'd look at at a quick-detach 5.56 can or a thread-on 7.62.

The Octane 9 would be a better all around choice. A Liberty Mystic is an excellent choice as well. You might want to take a look at those also. Shoot me a pm for an excellent price on either the Octane 9 or the Liberty Mystic. Scott.

Nc silencer (i think hank?) told me that AAC didnt manufacture the tirant, (problem with the machines) for 6 months and that they are back ordered every where? Perhaps I misunderstood him? Would that matter?

They had some bad titanium tube (stacked too high and it was ovalled) for the 45 cans and some places it was hard to get, my distributor never ran out. Like I said if ordered today could do the form 4 in 3 weeks or so.

I went with the Spectre II. First off, its cheaper and money's been tight with Christmas shopping this month. Second, I shoot a LOT of 22LR. While everyone else has been struggling to find it in stock, I have plenty in reserve. Also, the only centerfire pistol I have that's threaded is my HK USP Tactical and I already have a Tirant45 on the way. I dont own a centerfire rifle at all other than an old Mauser chambered in 30-06. I actually still have to buy a host for whenever my SDN6 gets approved.... I have a few months till then to decide.

The guys over at Allen Arms in Greenville, SC have been great. Highly recommended.

With your situation as you described, between the Spectre and Octane.....I go with the Octane.....I have 45 cans and 9mm cans....its nice to have the host and the can paired up and ready to go at any moments notice....

I went with the Spectre II. .
That's a great can. I ended up getting two rimfire suppressors too simply because, like you, I shoot a lot of .22LR. Granted, they say the Octane 9 can handle a bit of rimfire shooting, but I really wanted to have that smaller diameter and weight. So I have an Element II and the IA Apex-S is on order. What I found, once I started shooting my first suppressor (during a "conjugal visit") is that it was a pain swapping it back and forth from my rifle to my pistols. I quickly realized that it would be a whole lot nicer to have two .22 suppressors.
