What's the difference between Oakley and Oakley SI?

I have a "oakley standard issue accnt" (DOD/Mil) and wonder the same thing

On the products page there's also "Oakley SI Straight Jackets" for $115, and "Oakley Straight Jackets" for $170.

SI glasses don't have the chrome "o" on the sides and don't have the "Oakley" text across the bridge of the nose, and they aren't offered in the colors that normal oakleys come in.. Black with black O logo used to be the only color offered.

It's been a few years since I ordered any SI products but that used to be the only differences.

Edit: just looked at the site... I'm lost as well.. Not the SI products I was expecting..

The SI line stands for Standard Issue. It is items specifically designed for military and law enforcement. We carry the full line so we have all of the glasses and eye protection as well as gloves, shirts, range bags, hats, etc.. We do also have some of the commercial glasses as well.

Got my shirt and glasses today. Showed up in under 24hrs! Will def buy some more from ya shortly.

I only wear sunglasses that are designed to be used with a prescription insert. Way too expensive to get bifocal lenses for sunglasses.
