Yep that could have turned out quite differently if she wouldn't have had that gun... Needless to say she handled herself well and made the correct decisions.

Yep good shoot, and good parenting IMO. Glad she is in a state that won't torment her in a courtroom for defending herself and her home.
In fact, my two older kids (11 and 13) have been instructed to do something similar if someone attempts to break in, except it involves a shotgun, taking cover 5 yards back behind a closed&locked door, and identifying their target as hostile and/or intruder before pulling the trigger.
