Well fall is here. Its cooled down some and time I usually start cutting wood. I just bought a new echo timberwolf saw this year but I have my great grandfathers old mac 10 10 auto. There is something about cutting with an old saw made completely of metal. I snapped a few pics. I like looking at old saws and axes or any old homesteading tools. Lets see what yall have got.
I enjoy restoring old axes. A couple months ago, I scored this cedar shingle hatchet for $3 at the flea market. Turned it into this.... Made me happy.
Then two weeks ago, I scored this well used Council Tool axe off CL for $10... Turned it into this...
I've got these two I'd like to restore for sentimental reasons. My theory is one was used as a wedge, hence the damage. The double bit has a stamp but I've never identified it.
These guys here have helped me identify some makers marks... https://bushcraftusa.com/forum/forums/edged-tools.18/
