Looking for an inexpensive full size 9mm for home defense & IDPA use. The S&W SD9VE fit the bill. From what I see on google it gets pretty descent reviews. What say you CSC?
Thanks Palmer812. I may just take you up on that if I can scrape some time up to get out and shoot.I am very impressed with mine for the money. You are welcome to try it out if you like. You are not too far from me.
Without saying ANYTHING bad about the aforementioned SD9VE, I'm in this camp too. The issue isn't the gun as much as it's aftermarket parts, holsters, lights, lasers, sights, triggers, etc. You can pick up a USED M&P9 for $sub-400 on this very forum from time to time.Just my advice, save another $100 and get an M&P. I have three M&P's, and you will see them with LEOs, a lot at IDPA competitions, and CCW weapons. With the ergos, the extra back straps, it is one of Smith's bread and butters.
That is the biggest drawback. I had a SW40V way back when and could necpver get used to it's long, heavy, gritty trigger.Got a chance to handle one today. The trigger is atrocious.

Even the shape is a bit uncomfortable. That is the biggest drawback. I had a SW40V way back when and could necpver get used to it's long, heavy, gritty trigger.
