I got a flyer today on E mail and there was a Polish P-64 chambered in 9x18mm for sale in it for $199. Anyone have one? What are your thoughts on it? If you could buy either a P-64, a Yugo Tokarev, or a Cz82, you just got your C&R and you could only buy one, which one would you buy?

Wow! those suckers have gone up in price. FWIW. my P-64 is the only handgun that I have which hurts my hand when I shoot it. Perhaps if I play with the springs that might change, but out of the box, as it were, it is a handful. Back to the original question, I would purchase a CZ82.

Ammo is a little more expensive than for the Tok but I'd get the CZ82. Even my wife likes shooting that one. Easy to carry, smooth edges, good trigger, generally comes with two 12 round mags for a little more bang before reload...what's not to like. Plus they're newer and the civilian version (CZ83) is still for sale so parts are easy to find.

As fror the P64, the size is nice. The one I had had a real nice single action trigger after the spring job but the double action definitely left a lot to be desired. It didn't really hurt my hand to shoot but it wasn't something you wanted to target practice with.

Have an FEG P63 that I carried till the Sig 232 replaced it in 380. Like the Mak alot. It did hurt the web of my thumb after a few rounds but a cushioned grip would have stopped that. It is still my night stand standby. That slow traveling boolit is what I like rather than faster rounds. That way it hopefully would dump all its energy before exiting. Standard 9mm casings can be trimmed easily to make shells for it if needed.

I had a P64 for awhile. It was very accurate and well made. The double action trigger pull was heinous, I have seen where a spring change will help.
I have a Tok and enjoy shooting it, ammo is CHEAP.
I would recomend the Tok. I have no experience with the other choice.

Ok, so here's what happened....:) After the original post, I got a good deal on an M57 from the BST. I already had a Romanian TTC. Then, I got an E mail from Widner's telling me that they had CZ82's in stock with free shipping. So I ordered one....LOL. Waiting on it to come in the mail. FortKevin2 is right, C&R's ARE addictive. and I know what's coming next (this is for you DirtyScrew), so I'll post pictures of all three as soon as the CZ82 comes in. :)
