Had a great time yesterday. Absolutely perfect weather for a match.

Unfortunately the hat camera didn't work out at all. First, I got the BHD stage, but forgot to activate the camera for my first run on the top stage, and was rushed and hit the wrong button on my second run through and only got a still frame of the truck bed. Now I get to looking at the videos and the files are corrupted. Also, from what little I can see, the camera positioning also needs to be tweaked. I'll work with it some more and hopefully it'll be ready for December.

I have some pics from the match loading up right now. As soon as photobucket gets them I will throw a link up.Man! What a great time. This was my first match, and if I have anything to say about it, won't be my last. Shooting later in the match I thought I would watch everyone else and get a pretty good idea of what to do. The moment I picked up my rifle everything I had picked up and planned to do went straight out the window. I just shot at everything I saw. I probably missed half of the targets out there on the "Blackhawk" stage. All I can say is WHAT A RUSH!! Awesome job staging the event, and an amazing job by the RO's. I would have missed a shooting point if it weren't for the RO that was walking with me. Thanks guys for having me out there. I hope to do it again.

Here are the scores you guys did great. It was a long match and everyone was safe.
Remember it's not just your scores that count. Its what you learn from the time you spend with your equipment. What works and what don't. This is the place to work out the kinks.

Cool, I wasn't last. The longer stage definitely had an impact on the standings, which is good. Check the time on 3rd place for centerfire.

    Guys,

I started on the Zombie shot stage for next month. Only 4 positions, a few less targets, but some wrinkles added. I will have zombie head targets to shoot. Give you more info as we get closer to Tactical Meet date - December 18th.

Sweet, 6th place according to that. Probably only got there because a lot of regulars weren't there, but I'm shooting for top 5 next month. :001_tongue: Can't let you civies kick my rear every match. :001_tongue:

Nice. Are we going to do it in true Resident Evil style, and only start the match with 6 bullets? It could be part of the scenario, we have to search the entire range for the other 20 bullets we'll need, and then wrap up the whole shoot by making a 50 meter, single handed pistol shot to the last zombie.

Hey, if they can do it in the games, why not on the range?

I gotta agree with dirtydirtysouf, surely there are still more pictures that haven't been uploaded yet. C'mon guys, lets see em!

Been too long, need to brush up on my pistol shooting. That new FN is going to take some getting used to.

That and those constant hammered pairs showing up right in the targets throat killed my score.:001_tongue:

Not resident evil style. If you had to go looking for extra rounds on the range it would make the stage too long. The idea about a 50 meter pistol shot sounds interesting, but I don't know about single handed. I need to think about that one some more.

Anyone with some other ideas to make it more interesting. However, I don't want to make the stage too long or complicated. Head shots only may be hard enough with hostages/victims included with 25 point penalties for shooting them. Also body shoots on the zombies will be counted as a 5 point penalty.

how about having to move forward and backwards on a stage, trying to walk backwards and hit targets should be fun

I was joking. A long range pistol shot would be cool, but definitely not one handed. I like the idea of moving vertically on the targets, either forward or back, but I can see problems with doing that. Just weaving back and forth in the barricades would be cool.

    Hi guys
Sorry about the 3rd place score mistake it is corrected now. As for gene you have to let me know what you are shooting to get classed right. Names have to be spelled so I can READ THEM! It is the shooters responsiblity to write on the score sheets the class they are shooting in. Please pass this along to the new shooters at the matches. I try vary hard to tell everyone at sign up but sometimes people hand me thier sheets with out names on them.
