Just a reminder that the PHA Tactical meet is this weekend.

Here are a couple of posts from Roger from a different thread.

It's time for a reminder folks
Sat. the 21st. Its time for the tactical match. Complete with friendly people good weather and a great time. Don't forget your pistols too. Now this is the important part it starts at 8:30 am. Register early shoot early. The NEW line up is in play. If you come late you shoot late. Plan your day so you can shoot the whole match. We will try to run it as smooth as we can. Every one should plan on pasting target. This will make the match run faster. Thank you

Hi folks
I just found out that we will have food and drinks at the match. It wiil be a fund raiser for the Young Marines. All the profit will go to this great cause.
I believe it will be hotdogs chips and drinks. If it goes good this maybe an on going thing. Of couse we will still have water on the stages for everyone free of charge. Thank you for your support.

Same here, Alpha. The only complaint I had was using your 1911! I didn't hit a damn thing! Actually I shot the wood post holding up the target. Better than smoking a hostage target in the face, I suppose.

The first range I had to do a mag change since I used my M1a with 20 rd mags. Definitely proud of my shot groups though! That and blowing the black pad and wood pieces off the table with the force of the muzzle blast! Hahaha.

Ditto the above comments

The fun only increases month over month! If anyone is still skeptical about these shoots, they really need to just take a leap of faith and come on out. Great folks and a great time. Having the hot dogs/burgers/chips/sodas was a welcomed addition and really hit the spot between stages. And of course it was all for a wonderful cause, the Young Marines.

As always, thanks to the RO's for doing a bang up job of keeping everyone safe and informed and a special thanks to Andy (the machinist) from Barnes Precision Machine for providing the prizes and spending some time talking tech with a few of us.

I'm uploading video as I type this so YouTube links will be forthcoming. I promise you will enjoy them...especially the blazing fast mag change & shoulder switch by Tornado_Racing and the slip, fall and recovery by a shooter from the Palmetto State that shall remain nameless. :001_smile:

It seems we have a good number of guys (including myself) that are planning to attend Aesir Training's (http://www.aesirtraining.com/) October 9th & 10th Defensive Carbine class. I can assure you that Jeff (JFranz) is well versed in running the AR hard and fast, has trained with industry leaders and has the personality you look for in a top notch instructor. I would encourage anyone interested in learning more about the manipulation of the defensive carbine to join us in the fall. Let's just hope Jeff doesn't have another birthday to celebrate the night before the class.

PS - Is there an option for changing your screen name? After the way I shot my G23 today I'm thinking Glock SUCKER would be much more appropriate.

I too am LMAO at those shots! Nice work my friend. I can't believe that has happened to me two months in a row...with the same mag. I'm going to change the follower and if that doesn't work I'm tossing it. At least this time it happened on my 'fun run' and not during the 'money' round.

Let me also echo Eddie's sentiments about you guys making the ride up from Bragg and our appreciation for your service. I sleep well at night knowing young men like you two are willing and able to protect the very freedoms we all hold so dear.

Gentlemen - Great shooting with y'all this morning! We had a great group of shooters and a safe match; can't ask for much more than that.

Thanks to PHA and BPM for supporting the shooting community with matches like this.

Looking forward to next month...

It's all good. I do it for God, Country, and Springfield Armory! Hahaha!

I can promise everyone this will not happen the night before a class. That was not fun, and won't be repeated before another match, either. Sometimes I forget I'm not so young anymore.

Thanks to everyone who came out and made the match a big success again. The shooters make it easy on us by being safe. Thanks to Ron and Roger for putting it on. It truly seems to run better and better ever match, and next month will be even more fun. Plus, hopefully the weather will start to break and we won't all be sweating to death.

See you in September.

Safe Shooting,

JF

Ouch, 17th place, that hurts. I'm going to have to practice my pistol shooting.

Bonk, stop your complaining, you just need to get a Troy MCS for that M1A. You might do better then.

YOU CAN ALL BE PROUD

Hi guys
You can ALL be proud! The match was Safe and we all injoyed the day. The good news on the hostages is the ones that survived will Not SUE!!! It was said they couldn't make a case! [all they could make was a box]

By the way did someone leave a box of ammo? Describe it and we will get it back to you.

I'm guessing it's semi square-ish with bullets in it. The rounds are somewhere between .22 and 20mm.

Do I win?
