Thank you for bringing him out. I had a blast talking to him (a lot!) and I'm glad he felt welcomed. Hard to beat that crew on being hospitable. I can't wait until my son is old enough to tag along and eventually shoot.

I think his sights were zeroed too close and was hitting like 5ft high on the lower stage.

Very happy with my placing this month!!! My best so far.

Great work Jerz! My 3 months off showed, but I'm still relatively pleased with 13th.

Impossible! Everyone knows AK's are indestructible, right Dirty?

I had a blast and will be back!

I'm satisfied with my score, and looking forward to next month. Maybe Eddie can give me some of his secrets. It would be nice to know the screen name associated with peoples real names on the list, mines self explanatory.

    It's no secret.

I'm John Freeze. I was very pleased with my score.. at the point where the little things make all the difference now... I was three shots total from shooting the middle and upper stages clean (but i'm slow!!!). tried to start shooting the lower stage with the bolt open (that doesn't work well, by the way) and also tried to shoot with the safety on (also extremely ineffective)...

But I am having a blast. I told multiple folks I knew i would not like this type shooting so delayed a year in coming to the first match... now i've sold two bolt actions.

    I cannot reveal my identity.

I want to say thanks to everyone who came out, and a VERY big thank you to everyone who took a moment to speak with my cousin and G.P. Though he was a bit too tired when we got home, he was amazed at the outpouring of well wishes he received from everyone. He had a great time at the Packer game on Sunday, but I think the highlight of the weekend was the match. He's already making plans to come out and shoot it once he is able to move without the aide of his cane. He's a tough kid.

    Jeff,

Your cousin and his buddy are awesome fellows. He also let me fire his 460 which was pretty darn cool. Great to be able to meet them and glad they had a good time.

All rifle this last match....18rds total I believe. Im sure it will change as with all stages for future matches. The upper bay is large and will probably become the most vesatile as it permits 3 directions of fire.

I think I worded my question wrong. You're saying the 3rd (new) stage added 18 rounds? I was wondering the total round for the whole match.

Thanks again for inviting them out Jeff. It was nice to put a face with all my prayers and to be able to take a moment to chat with them and shake their hands. Two amazing young men for sure.

Damn I missed a good one it looks like. I had to work all weekend in Willmington, but at least I am still working. It was good to hear a that a few "old" hands and some new faces came. Its only going to get better as time moves on.
I did get a chance to crawl around the Battleship North Carolina again. Seeing all that great old American steel and technology warms my heart. Those 16" guns on her are just amazing.

I hope to post the scores next month in a more timely manner next month. Anyone who has watched glock56 type knows it is a painful experience. (love ya bud)

Thanks to all that helped and to all that work tirelessly behind the scenes that make this thing work.

We need more women and younger people, Bring your wives, girlfriends, children and boyfriends ( now that DADT is finished I guess its ok :crying:).
America needs rifleman ( and women). Yes, this is no form of training, but training can't replace experience and skill. The more experience you have the better off you and all of us will be if we need to defend ourselves if the government lets us down.

The youngest person that has shot in this match was 6 yrs old. We will accommodate anyone if they want to shoot. All of us that put this match together are committed to making it safe, fun and challengeing. We also try to make you think while you are shooting. Thats why you a penalized for not shooting a stage correctly. If anyone has any ideas on what or how to shoot a stage please tell us. If we can, we will use any and all Ideas. If you have any complaints, just keep them to yourself. ( kidding ). We do have RO meetings to make sure we are all on the same page. We discuss and handle any and all issues after each match.

    Looking forward to next month.

Keep in mind, he was shooting an AK. Max effective accurate range is less than the distance shot on the lower stage.
