I'm custom building these cabinets, etc., as I go to fit my needs ... like for ammo cans, etc.

Now, while these cabinets are heavily framed, and securly connected to studs in the walls, they weigh so much full loaded that I had to put reinforcement cables on them and add additional support from ceiling joists. This picture shows the cable hooks before I ran the cables ... I need to get updated pics. I'm enclosing the top of the cabinets as well for more dustfree storage space plus the cabinets now have doors on them of course.

The red cabinet above, plus the bench you see me building above while I was installing the doors and drawers ... they all slid into the room nicely. It's all coming together just as planned, I just need to get updated pictures taken.

I built mine 40 inches tall and sit on a 30 inch barstool quite comfortably

The red bench in my picture is lower, desk type where I actually sit on a swiveling dove hunting padded bucket seat (five gallon bucket) to work at that bench.

The dark pine bench I built in that picture, with the four drawers that now has two doors enclosing those spaces ... that one is 43 1/2" from the floor to the bottom of the overhanging ledge. The ledge on that hangs 8" out from the cabinet, I did that so I could clamp down presses with c-clamps because I am constantly changing-out from brass presses to shotshell presses, etc. I work that bench off of a stool with a back on it that swivels and has feet rests. I did that because I may change body positions several times while making a big run of brass, or whatever. I'll go from sitting with my feet up, to sitting with my feet down on the floor, to standing, then back to sitting, etc. It keeps me from getting fatigued in one position - beats the heck out of trying to sit in one place during the entire process.

Now, I'll also add that the top is an inch and a half thick, glued-together finished plywood and I edged it in oak for toughness. All of that got a bunch of coats of a floor-grade epoxy clear finish --- tough enough to walk on is tough enough to reload on and it cleans up real nice too.

I kicked my dad out of half of his building, 10 ft bench/table with a shelf above and lights on the bottom of the shelf. View attachment 32167 Looks like hell but its really organized chaos. View attachment 32168 an I keep all of my supplies in this metal filing cabinet, best $5 I ever spent

I'm still in the process of setting up my reloading room. My dillon 550 isn't completely assembled yet, since it just replaced my Lee auto-indexing turret press.
