In need to get cheap .223/5.56 (no steel casing) I always try to buy as much black boxes as I can when I go to walmart. Bought all they had last night (10 boxes) trying to get my stock back up.

How does PMC work I've seen it for just as cheap as AE black box a223 I think....

I've looked online but if the price is good, they are out of it.

Ive never had any problems out of pmc. Cheapest ive seen it has been at the gun shows for 325.00 for a 1000 out the door.

I don't know if they are black box, or if you have any Eastern Outfitters near you, but the Eastern Outfitters near me has a back wall stacked with AE223 for $350 per 1000 round case.

I just got a case of PMC .223 from Cabelas a few weeks ago when it was on sale for $5.99/box and had a coupon code for free shipping so it ended up being just under $300/shipped for 1k. Deals pop up every few weeks if you don't need it today.

^^^^ Can't go wrong with that Cabelas deal that MichaelHK mentioned.....best deal around for bulk PMC ammo. So good I even go some XTAC and PMC Broze. They don't have it now, but check back later.

I've shot the Bronze and XTAC. PMC Bronze (.223 55gr) is usually the cheapest. The XTAC (5.56 62gr green tip) has gone up in price pretty substantially over the past year, but if you find either on sale they're both gtg.

FlatFender nailed it. Also I don't want to run the risk of damaging my rifle, but then again wahoo said it's g2g. He's the AR go to with question man around here lol

Over 1k steel cases Tulammo through my AR, 400 of it in one day and no damage yet. Considering the 1-2$ per box savings over brass that has saved me enough to replace just about anything steel cases could damage...if they actually cause damage in the first place.

I remember reading about it on multiple sites/forums a while ago when I first started to look in to my first AR. Ever since it has stuck with me. I do keep the brass in case I ever get back in to reloading or decide to sell it.
