I figured I would help get the ball rolling on this new awesome part of CSC.

So how about a picture thread of just 1911s?

I put some Mammoth Ivory grips on my wife's "Bar-B-Que" gun for her Birthday….if she doesn't like them…I guess I'll have to put them on one of my guns :)
The gun is a Colt WW I Commemorative from 1969 that you can barely give away but they shoot well and make great eye candy.

OK…now you have the Series 70 Repo…..you just need an original one to go with it :)

Nice gun…the blue ones are harder to find.
Kimber I inherited from Dad in its new home...thanks gunbelt!
WOW...nice leather!!!
New picture of an old gun....just practicing my other shooting skills.

Surfer...NO, but I did steal this pic from the internet and was hoping I would someday post a pic of mine...but sadly that doesn't look like it's going to happen :-(

That Kimber is actually mine...I'm an equal opportunity offender when it comes to 1911's but I do like the Pony....

MSRP = $1695.00

They only made 300 and were released in the middle of April. I was on the list but the LGS didn't get any of them...I suspect they are all gone by now.
There is/was a big hoopla over the laser engraved roll marks on the slide ....I need to see one in person to see if I'd care....love that high polished look.
I was so bummed about not getting one of those shiny Colts...I gave myself a consolation gun....Kimber Royal II - same finish as the Centennial slide (Turnbull Charcoal Blue) but all over and bone grips instead of ivory. I think they make a nice pair...

Turnbull makes a damn nice finish. I bet it even looks good dirty.
You'll have to ask my wife after I'm gone... :)

Yes...but it lacks that element of surprise you find in a gun store...I have yet to find something new in my safe I hadn't seen before :)
MSRP on that is $1779.00....so $4200.00 is a bit high.

Not my cup of tea.
OK...I'll jump start it again with my latest find... NIB - (1980) Colt SM ACE
