Dirty Dan Wesson V-Bob @ the range today
Neither of those poor guys stood a chance. And they were just now turning their lives around.
I've been without a 1911 for a couple years now. Finally ended that streak last week. Picked up a Kimber Pro Carry HD II. Replaced the grips, recoil spring, and plastic mainspring housing. Dawson front sight on the way. I'm happy
Colby-Jack.....very nice. I'm sure you will love it. Really like the mainspring housing....I've been looking for one like that, but in plastic just to lighten a couple of mine an oz or so. Just curious tho, why did you replace the recoil spring? Hotter or softer loads? I reload mild and use a softer spring to accommodate them and for good function of the slide. Let us know how it shoots.
Here is my Wilson Combat CQB Elite Flat Dark Earth
Some really, really nice weapon pictures out there. Gezzz, do they make a safe large enough for all my wants?
I know a couple here are not 1911's but it's the only picture I can find of my Springfield TRP Operator.
I just really liked how the photo came out....
So, did this for my wife since I'm a great husband /s. I know it may not be everyone's cup of tea but she loves it.
You know Kimber makes a baby brother to that one she might also enjoy...

My Nighthawk T4 in 9mm.
beautiful shootin' iron, Eticket!
Plunker22, yer link is bad... I was lookin' at the new color scheme on a RI Officer's model the other day... as well as a blued full size RI... they invited me to pull the slide back, couldn't believe how well it fit, a whole lot nicer than I expected.
Ok, I added another 1911 to the collection, does that make me an addict?
Top to bottom: Colt, Sig Sauer, Remington, Colt, Rock Island.
Yes. Sell me the Colts, then you are out of the danger zone.
LOL, thanks for offering a one step program for addiction but I can't. Each one is my favorite.
Mac, I can fix you up this Enhanced Colt Officers. Serial begins with FA, ends with E.
Not vintage enough for me... it's a series 80.
Here is my latest acquisitions
I dont know where YOU work, but I need a job.
Just received my Colt Special Combat Government back from getting a few upgrades
Wow! Now that's a Colt!
Here is more of my collection
I know that the last one isn't a 1911 but John Moses Browning did have a hand in designing it.
Nice collection, sigsaurstx! What is the fifth pistol from the top (below the Baer)?
That is a full Custom built by Blake Johnson.
It is built on a Nighthawk frame and slide.
Some really beautiful guns here. I just wanted a basic .45, a workhorse if you will. Bought this one today at a local gun show. Springfield 1911A1. Used, it's in great shape just minor wear in a couple of places. Got two sets of grips (but I like the stock ones), three magazines, box and manual. Found a WWII G.I. shoulder holster at another vendor's table got it for the look, and something to keep the gun in until I find a good CC holster. Took it to the range this evening, it's a good shooter. I was shooting it as well as a couple of guns I've had for a long time. This is my first 1911.
Nice. My last three 1911's were used and all functioned perfectly. I shoot them some and carry whichever one strikes my fancy as I go out the door.
Just be careful with the 1911s Headspace, they're highly addictive. I started out with 1 'basic workhorse' then 2, then decided I need 4 (1 to pass down for each of my grandsons). Each is unique, but now I have 5. I suppose I'll have to get 3 more so there'll 2 per grandson LOL. When the bug bites you, you'll find your own reasons for having more.
Love holster too.
Looks nice with that holster. I bought a 70 series repro. I wanted a basic 1911 blued. Now I want a basic 1911 that is parkerized. There's always one more..
