Power for me out again. Second time. Still no snow, but I think this is worse than snow.
Power lines are sagging near the high way. Looks to be a good quarter inch of ice on the branches.

Palm trees breaking. :(

It's 28 degrees outside here in the SE corner of NC and just started raining here again, after nothing most the night. Doesn't make sense.
Welcome to Iceland in my yard.

2wd for the win

So strange that Matthews has significantly more snow than here. Until 6 months ago I lived in Sardis Woods past n. Sardis and Monroe for 3 years. NEVER more than a dusting, but that was enough to walk to the road with a cooler and a camp chair to watch the carnage lol.

Omg I know. I ran out around 11 and it took a little longer than I thought. I saw probably 6 cars off the road.

Only 6? I'm impressed. I took my (ex)wife to work at the Harris teeter during the ice storm in 2010. In under two miles of driving I saw 2 cars off the road, 2 separate fender benders in the parking lot and watched the dumbest wreck ever on the way back.

Coming down the hill past teeter on Monroe. Truck attempted to pull out from beside the shell station (my turn) and starts cutting circles across the road. At the same time a SUV hauling past me sees the truck and locks it up to commence sliding down the hill. They come together driver side to driver side and slide together all the way to the bridge piling, clipping a car trying to pull out of the cigar shop lot on the right. I made my turn and stopped thinking dang it I need to check on them. At that time blue lights turn on so I cruised on to the house. City folk can't drive and they get worse when the weathers bad lol

Salisbury NC here, along Interstate 85. I am here at work and it is steady, about a 2" accumulation in about 2 hours with no end in sight.
