I had Reserves down in SC this weekend. Had duty on Sat. my old neighbor talked me into helping his buddy fill his gator tag Sat night. Had this ol boy in the boat at 0230, picture taken at 0530, back at formation at 0730 on Sunday. 11'10" 650 lbs., best estimate we didn’t have a scale that went that high. Had to weigh parts and pieces as we caped and removed meat.

Its one of those deals where its better to know someone with a tag, the work realy begins after the kill. Ive eaten gator several times and dont realy care for it. When you kill a gator of that size, you feel the need out of respect to do somehting whith the hide, and thats where it gets expensive.

Nice....That's got to be enough for a couple pair of boots. We used to have one in our neighborhood that was a "pet." The community had a chain link fence around an inlet and there was a mom and her little one that stayed there, but some "smart" neighbors would feed it leftovers. I was glad when they disappeared. A chain link fence can't keep something like that forever and they will come looking for "leftovers" when they get out. Great job.
