Hey chad,

What model is that Smith?
I recently acquired one that looks very similar to it. Mine's a blued 3" Mod. 31(no dash). I plan to load for mine too as soon as I get it back from the Doc. It seems my side plate is bent and it or sometning else is putting undue pressure on the "transfer bar". Which in turn wouldn't let the trigger return after the Doc lightened it up(it's trigger pull was pretty stiff when I got it too).

I plan to use mine as a fishing companion after I get me a good "Snakeshot" load figured out. I have also bought some Hornady 90gr SWC's for it. I already load for a Llama .32ACP mini 1911 and from the data it looks like I have these loaded light enough that there won't be any pressure issues in the Smith either. Just incasse you didn't already know it, the .32ACP is a "semi-rimmed" cartridge. Meaning it's rim is just a little larger than the body of the case. It is enough to headspace on the cylinder mouth. I actually used ACP's in my Ruger .32 H&R Mag's a couple times at Cowboy Action matches.

Today's .32ACP's do run at 5000psi more than S&W Longs so I wouldn't shoot any factory stuff in it, but rolling your own you can do it safely. The main reason I did it in the Ruger's was because I had an abundace of the ACP brass that needed to be used. When I was looking for brass for the Llama I found some on one of the auction sites and put in my bid. Nobody else bid and I ended up with 1600pcs of 1x fired .32ACP brass for $50!!!

When you get that thing up and running why don't you bring it to Caswell Ranch for a Pocket Pistol match or 3?

Congrats on a nice find, and have fun with your project,

INA, duh. I saw that in the title but thought it was a typo.
