I have the 7 inch upper and I love it. Kak can too.

Wish I would have chosen the the mlok handguard and not keymod is my only regret

I too wish it was M-Lok instead of industrial shelving... I mean... Keymod... And what's with the 1/2-36 thread pitch? There's another suppressor adapter to buy...

Still a good deal if you want a basic 9mm AR. Problem is, I'd have to put another $400 into the lower to get it on par with my other ARs... and a better charging handle, a thread adapter, and a tax stamp, and an RDS, etc, etc, etc...

The life of a gun nut is expensive...

From what I've seen most/all of the 9mm AR barrels have that thread pitch.

The manuf. must believe people are dumb enough to screw a standard A2 flash hider on there and blast away. Or they have a lawyer who thinks that.

And I can't figure out how you'll spend less than $800 to build a complete gun when you count missing parts, shipping, transfer, etc etc... Still looks fun!

I have a PSA built 9mm upper and am very pleased.

Mine uses a lower mag block (Colt mags) vs. dedicated...that's so my SBR stamp is not forever tied to 9mm. FWIW, at a PCC match last weekend, mine was just about the only one on our squad that had zero failures. There were ATI, PSA and a handful of other makes of dedicated lowers.

So $26 shipping and what else is missing besides a buffer tube and the internals and pistol grip? BCG and Charge handle is included. One $20 transfer for the lower.

You're into it for about $600 by my estimate.

Yea but you missed my statement about adding that $200 tax stamp!

EDIT I see you were validating my math to help Catfish understand!

    $500 upper and lower
    $26 shipping
    $20 transfer
    $50 extension kit
    $65 LPK
    $80 iron sights
    That's $740, add a brace and you're at $800 or more without a stamp

Your $115 for a extension and LPK is wrong since on the same front page of PSA you can get their enhanced LPK and extension for $90. Oh and it doesn't increase shipping and includes M4 stock. You actually don't need a full lower parts kit either since some items are included, so likely sourced cheaper. Didn't include irons or optics in my original quote, and were not in the post. MBUS combo is only $70 at Granite Ridge Tactical, shipped, if you did want them.

So $615.95 shipped plus $20 transfer, without me attempting to actually source the only needed lower parts, I guess it's closer to $635... or $705 with MBUS and me being lazy to look for a cheaper lower parts setup.

No need to quibble over details, let us rejoice that 9mm Glock mag AR's can now be had for less than half the price of a few years ago. Seriously, back when DDLES was the only game in town for this and when all the other 9mm-specific parts were more pricey (probably due to much smaller production runs), you were looking at $1200 - $1500 for a Glock mag AR w/o optic.

Pfft I just like doing the math and finding deals! No quibbling, I agree, Catfish and I are just making sure we spend as little as possible so we have more money for ammo.

No doubt. I've just been bitten by the "inexpensive" bug and it didn't wind up being what I expected when it all added up.

This. I still have an unbuilt DDLES lower from those days. Paid $300 and was happy to get it.

If you go this route, you have to get a stamp... That's an SBR... Add $200 to your total...
