Funny you posted this, I just bought one today. I have been meaning to get one for over a year and kept putting it off. I live near lots of water and feel like this could come in handy in an emergency especially if your car went into water. $10.00 shipped on Ebay. I will be using this as my key ring.

Part of my EDC on my key chain.
Very small, cuts seat belts and breaks glass.
I have never used the tool for cutting or breaking, but the glass breaker is the spring type and should work very well and the cutter is a razor that is protected by a removable piece.
I know of a off-roader type that bought several of these, he put a split ring in each and used a zip-tie to attach them around his Jeep. One at each sun visor and one on each side at the roll cage in the back seats.

yes i do. here's why (long story):

my dentist was caught in his Mercedes during a flood in Chapel Hill.
University Lake had overtaken Jones Ferry Road by 3 feet.
he was driving back from a conference in Greensboro at 11PM.
the water shorted out the electronics and the car started sinking.
(basically, he rounded a curve and didn't have enough distance to stop until he was floating)
of course, he didn't know HOW MUCH he would sink, so he tried the windshield...no go.
then he kicked out the back windshield....never cracked it or scratched it...popped the whole thing.
just so you know: the lapbelt LOCKED. (back in the day...). lights out. door/window locks stayed locked.
he used his scalpel to cut his lapbelt (remember, no shoulder harness)...and by the time he cut
his lapbelt and kicked out the back glass, his car settled. it was 'totaled' (electronics, y'know).

so...yes...i have an analog solution to a digital problem.
