My blood pressure just went up again.
+1Thank you for posting that.
Amen.Everyone that thinks some of us are crazy for not trusting our own government needs to read this.
I'd bet DHS thinks the same thing...+1
Amen.
I expect we will have many more Ruby Ridge type incidents as DHS grows in size and scope over the coming years.
The vast majority of the people - absolutely not! Some of us - yes.But it begs the question if "we" learned anything from that fiasco......
Yup.I agree with your post.
^ I agree with all of this post! ^It was a sad sad day in our country's history. I feel the same about Waco. While I will agree that David Koresh was a nutball, they did not deserve what they got, over tax stamps and weapon and ammo stockpiles. I just feel that with people now, the majority will just roll over and agree to anything that is said or done to them by the government.
I don't mean to stand on a soapbox, but look at NYC. Seriously, no soft drinks over a specific size, women being strongly urged to breastfeed instead of using formula. What is next? I truly fear that people are more concerned with IPads and smartphones than the rights that are being stripped away from them. To my knowledge Randy Weaver and his family did nothing to provoke the shootout. It just seems that the majority think he and his family were horrible people who had it coming...
Sorry for my rant, but this still makes my blood boil. If my comment is too brash for outside the minefield, please delete it. I truly am sorry, but it gets me mad just thinking that it could have been anyone of us that this happened to.....
I hope you are wrong. And I fear you are not.Based on how the DHS is gearing up it seems that events like Ruby Ridge will be mere footnotes in history pretty soon. The books will be like "DHS killed ______ people on ______ day." It'll sound like something quite ordinary.
