Ok here's my issue my wife's a runner and wishes to carry while running. My first thought is a belly band. What is everyone using? I will be buying a glock 42 for her to carry while running.

My gf runs too and we've found ourselves in the same dilemma. Women's tight fitting clothes, and especially the thin, lightweight, and/or tight fitting running clothes often worn, make ccw quite difficult. The 5.11 shirts aren't bad but they don't make them for [ahem] busty women. We have yet to find a great solution to carry either a pistol or reasonable size OC. A blade is about the only thing that does carry well.

Keeping an eye on this one.

Bought a keltec pf 9 for the light weight ans it was plastic so no/little/less worry about the sweat/rust thing. Was great in a belly band but migrated to a lightweight fanny pack to carry it, extra mag/cell phone; after that added my 642 often and left the keltec behind as the S&W fir may hand better and negligible weight difference in a f pack.

I don't believe she is that busty. Please post pictures for size comparison.

Hit the link in my sig line and check out the last 2 posts. I can do leather or hybrid minimalist IWB holsters that clip on. If you think it might work PM me. I can do the G42. Of course, with a clip on you need something to help keep it up on the waist like a belt or at a minimum a drawstring.

If you want to go fanny pack I can do velcro backed holsters to mount in them too. Several guys have them for maxpedition packs.

One thing to consider would be a smaller, lighter gun like a keltec 32 and a small pouch. I used to carry this way when I ran outdoors. Just carried the pouch in my hand. Switched hands if I got tired. Didn't have to worry about holsters and breathing etc.

Now I run inside on a treadmill.

I've been looking for something to wear while riding my road bicycle. I think I'm going to get one of those back support things and try to use it as a base for a holster. I'll probably shorten the shoulder straps and try to make the gun sit in a position kind of like a shoulder holster. When wearing my bike kit, there is nothing to hold a holster up with. I figure the shoulder straps and velcro waist straps on the back support thing should hold a gun fairly well. I'm not really concerned about actually "hiding" the gun since I'm in NC. I'm thinking it may even be to my advantage if drivers notice a gun under my bike jersey.

My girlfriend has the same issue. She normally carries with a flashbang, but that obviously doesn't work with a sports bra. When she is running she has a running specific fanny pack that she puts her flashbang in. She's looking for something better though. These are the two option she came up with that seemed most functional/comfortable...

Look up a Delaney Belt from camelbak. It's pretty good about not bouncing up and down with a heavy load. And it has a pocket that will hold a small autoloader. You may also look for a Nathan or amphipod belt with modular pouches. My amphipod is the least bouncy of all of my hydration belts.

These days though, for my long runs, I generally just wear an esee izula around my neck. After 3+ hours of running, you don't want any more weight than absolutely necessary.

I have worn a a crossbreed super tuck under shorts with a wilderness belt and a glock 19 for short runs when I'm traveling and need to get a run but am staying in sketchy neighborhoods. It worked well. But would get annoying after an hour or so.

I used to run marathons and got used to carrying spare water and some food in a Fuel Belt. Has a little pouch on it that could hold a smartphone or a very small gun, like a LCP. They have quite a few models with varying pouch sizes. It also doesn't scream 'gun' like a tactical black fanny pack.

Biggoofy- That's a nice holster the misses is wearing, BTW.
