Well i couldn't wait anymore.I bought 10 of the 25 round mags at $12.99 each.

Seriously thinking of grabbing the rifle for $299 later today.

I wouldn't hold my breath. PSA can offer these deals for 2 reasons: 1) They order massive quantities. and 2) They can afford to sell the guns for $5 over cost because they already know they're going to sell 200, and most people will buy other stuff to go with it. Personally, I know my time is worth more than $5/hr.

Is there any update on a dealer in or near Raleigh that has the same price?

Just so you know Gander Mtn. in Mooresville wouldn't match it.

I vote to support LGS. If we don't they will go away.

I couldn't blame you. This is a heck of a deal. They may be slow as heck to ship, but 200 in savings is worth a little wait imo. Wait too long, you may miss out.

Fayetteville Gander Mountain would not match by the way.

I don't need anything bad enough that I am going to order from PSA.
would rather have to do without or pay more.

They have a reputation for VERY slow shipping and non existent customer service if you have a problem with an order or one of their products. With that said, I've placed a few orders and have been very happy with them... many others have not had the same luck I have.

Couple people had issues with communications, problems with a couple rifles, etc. They are not really well known for super customer service, they leave alot to desire in that aspects. I think it came mainly down to the fact they were gettting so much free publicity when vendors were paying the site to advertise.

To each his own, but I would suggest the only one you harm (at least in this case) is yourself in paying (considerably) more elsewhere for the same rifle.

Ive had a decent experience with PSA. But, I've also learned its NOT the place to buy from if I need/expect next day deliveries. etc.

Twisted A2 front sight posts, misaligned gas tubes, zero responses concerning repairs and I believe all of that happened to just one or two of the Staff members.

Between slow shipping and piss poor customer service, Ed got tired of the free advertising and links to them when our sponsors and vendors here have a way better reputation.

I feel the same way about CTD. They had Magpul magazines for $99.99 during the last panic. I've had good luck with PSA (my next order will probably get lost in the mail). I know I would buy it from PSA rather than a LGS if it saved me over $200 plus tax.

    Really
I do not look to be harmed at all. The money is not going to hurt me.
I also look as it to be helping.
helping to support those that support us and helping to support local vendors.
If I was cheap or broke then maybe it would do harm but some times it is more a way of life th a t is harmful to you then just a deal lime this.

If PSA has not screwed you bad it is just a matter of time.
They are buying and selling on credit an not many out ther do this today.
And to be clear what im talking about is they bill your CC when you place the order then ship whenever they get the stuff in or feel like it.
take several of my Magpul orders from a few years back.
I order pay I full it stated 7 to 10 days delay on shipping.
Yet over several months like 3 they then send it out and send wrong colors.
After about 2 weeks tring to get you with them they said send it back we will place another order credit for the wrong stuff.
making it almost 5 months they had a lot of my money and I had no gear.
now move on to the 300blkout barrels they sold with screwed up gas ports and telling people to deal with it and load ammo that will work.
I spent almost 6 to 8 k a year some times more yet they did not give a crap.
so why should I support them.

Kept hoping they would sell out... Guess I'll have one in the next 3 weeks.

I personally have had very good luck with purchases and customer service at psa. Purchased 1/2 case of 5.56 last Wednesday, had it on my door step last Friday...

Sorry guys I can't get close.

My time cost $30 a hr at work, but for CSC members I don't mind $5 a hr. But going in the red to help CSC members will not fly with the accountant.

For those that do get them from PSA please let us know if they drop shipping from moss or some place other then PSA.

    Thanks

It was more than a "couple" of people, it was a lot of them, including me.

Our sponsors/ vendors support the site, and we are going to do whatever we can to support them.

    As we should.

I've been known to spend more for something I could save a few bucks on over the internet by buying locally.

Even got jerked around by local vendors that couldn't deliver what I bought and paid for several weeks in advance.

No harm, no foul. I always got my money back if they couldn't deliver and I didn't hold it against them.

But I want to see the local guys stay in biz. The online sellers have resources that the little guy simply does not have.

So, if you like to touchy-feely and want to support the local guys, then spend a few bucks & buy locally. Otherwise, we will all be ordering from Walmart.

    Fair enough...

But after several messages I didn't see ANY quotes from any of these "sponsors"

It might have been helpful for one to say, 'I cant match that, but here's my best price on a 15-22"

Then folks could decide if they were willing to dish out some extra coin to "buy local"

However, I didnt see anything from a sponsor.... so, to me that means no one really cared to throw their hat in the ring.

    As you say, "fair enough".

Not all local vendors have the time to monitor this or any other website.

    Particularly over a holiday weekend.

I say, go with whoever you are comfortable in spending your money with and nothing more.

See the problem is, they look at it this way.....
They will not pay for an ad or sponsor yet they do these sales from time to time because they know that it will get them free PR all over the web... They may sell a bunch or the may end up with a lot of pissed of people that don't get them as they do not have them in their store as I was told.
They may even be selling them less then they have in it just for PR....

    Who knows who cares.....

I have been screwed by them and know several others that got the same....
Will never support them or buy from them no matter how cheap or free it is....
