Anyway, I now keep my AR out at night in my bedroom (no kids) for quick access if I really need it. When I leave for work in the morning, I either stash it upstairs in my safe or put in in the bedroom closet, tactically (ha) hidden by dirty clothes.
Does anyone have any creative solutions to keeping their HD long gun readily accessible, but also secure? I've looked into an in-wall closet safe, but I'm not the most handy with installing such. I may end up just buying an el cheapo stack-on locker from Walmart and figuring out a way to fit it in the closet without my wife hurting me. Ideally, I don't want to walk upstairs every morning to lock up the gun and every evening to retrieve it.
