OK, so I won the lower in the "Support Justin" auction. This will be a surprise for Justin so nobody tell him.

I decided about a week ago that I really don't need another AR so I am going to build it out, get it engraved and give it back to Geek to hold for Justin until he is old enough to own it. Frmr0317 has offered up a free Cerakote in any color combination and to help out with the build.

I have already spoken with Burnedoutgeek and he thinks Mom and Dad would be cool with it. I have also run a few engraving ideas past him (more on that later).

So this leads me to the purpose of this thread. I am looking for parts donations. Anything I don't get from you guys I will pay for to finish the build.

Here's what we have so far:

Stripped Lower.
Light weight barrel.
Gas block.
Gas Tube.
Free Float Handguards.
Pop up front sight.

What I need:
Everything else.

If you have anything that you don't mind donating to the project, please put what you have in the thread so I can keep track. And if you have any color scheme ideas post those (a pic would be nice) and Geek will make the decision on what we go with.

Now for the second part. Looking for ideas for the engraving. It will be engraved with "Justin Lastname" on the top and then a tag line.
For the tagline, we are shooting for something funny. Geek thinks Justin would love any one of the following but submit your own and Geek will again make the final call.

I just got my first AR, so no spares, but the kid's gonna need some ammo, so put me down for 5 20rd boxes of brass-cased .223 (I'll probably see Geek at the gun show this Saturday and give it to him then).

I LOL'ed hardest at "Fear No Tree".

As for the surprise aspect, doesn't he have Tapatalk on his iphone, and he's aware of this forum, right? Maybe we need to change the thread title to something a 13yr old kid would never click on, like "Cavitation effect of 5.56 vs. 7.62" or "Can we realistically undo Obamacare if we have to wait until 2016 to do it".

I have a brand new lower parts kit. Includes all the parts to complete a lower. The trigger set is not fancy but it is a complete kit including the grip. Let me know if you can use it......... Dave

The build will probably be complete by the time you're able to say "I still need ******", so I'm in for some ammo unless you really are missing parts.....I think rather than engraving his given name, you should put "Tarzan" on it...assuming kids know who Tarzan is.....

I don't have any spare parts to donate, but whatever you get engraved on the rifle can also be engraved on the hand forged knife that I'll supply to go along with it.........providing his parents are OK with that........

That is pretty awesome.

Ok, I am sending this in PM's to everyone but just in case I haven't gotten to you yet.

I am going to try and keep track of who sends what. After the build is finished, if I have leftovers I will ask if anybody wants anything back.

If not I will leave the extra parts with frmr0317 since he is always giving parts away to people to help them with builds.
