I know there are competition events out the ying yang but do any of you guys ever get together for some long range fun without all the things that come along with competitive outings.

I had the pleasure of shooting with Boyette down at Woodys. He has a fantastic range down there. It was just John, Mary and I shooting some stuff after the NRA RSO course we took with him. It was relaxed, steel out to 500 ish…Just pulling the trigger and shooting the shit about theory, SWAG shooting, trying different rifles… It was what you were looking for. Define "long range".

Anything from 200 out. Would love to test some of my platforms.

Man, I'd have to pack my lunch for that one. Only a little over 3 hrs one way.

I have 300 with steel you are glad to come shoot. You've been here.

I, agree about woodys... It's a haul. Need to get a carload to make that trip. It's worth the drive to shoot for a day.

I'd be down for a trip. It's 3+ hours away but to shoot steel out to 500 yards it would be well worth the trip. I need to zero a rifle and get a dope for it.

I'd also like to take a class or two on optics/long range.

I do have 88 members who drive 4 + hrs one way to shoot. I have (2) 1,000yds on site and a 1,100yd opening soon for competition use only.

I would like to get up to FLD one day, need my stuff together first.

I would like to get together with some guys and really shoot and learn and just have a good day doing that. I've never been to Woodys but I would be down if there is a group going. Same with FLD

Might want to check with Woody's and how far you can shoot. We have a range member only policy on the 1,000yd range. With over 900 members now I had to cut off access to it. Members have to qualify on it also. Farthest public can shoot is 300yds. My Feb 25th LR Class is sold out. Next one will be April time frame. We go out to 1,000yds in that class. Anyone can take that.
