Thanks for posting that range report JMike50. I would love to know how much skinnier that 30S feels to carry with that new skinny slide. The Glock site lists the width as the same as a G30, or G30SF, but I am pretty sure your new S is skinnier. It sure looked like it in the comparison pics.

Glock site also shows lowered barrel height from 1.27 to .79 for the new S.

I just want to figure out if it is noticeably less bulky to carry. I carry a G30SF now.

Ok I know I am setting myself up here BUT.! I cant get used to the sight picture on a glock. My brother and I shoot togeather all the time and he is a HUGE glock fan. When we shoot anything else ( We both own a coupe of twins ) Ruger P90 , Springfield XDS , Ruger MRK 3, my groups are much tighter than his. We shoot any of his glocks and His grouping looks good and mine looks like I have never shot a pistol before. Not sure why I cant get used to them but I just cant. has kept me from ever owning one.
I think it really is what you are comfortable with.

Until recently my tightest groups were shot with my Colt 1911. I got an XDS for carry. Traded it. Got an XDM compact 45. Couldn't hit the side of a barn with it. Traded it for a Glock 21 SF. Nice gun but too big to carry. Then got a G30SF compact 45.

I now shoot slighter tighter groups with the Glock than with my 1911. You just got to find your own sweet spot.
