Yep, had a head cold for a few days. Mostly sinus pressure, stuffed nose, sore throat and ear aches. Not feeling down and out like I have the flu, but this stuffiness is miserable. Nasal decongestant spray helps me some. Can't sleep without it.

Started the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. Chills, fever, body aches, fatigue. Took about 10 days to kick the illness. I'm having to take a break at work now, legs are still sore and weak. This one was rough. Wife and one of the girls had it before me. Figure it was one of the B strains of the flu.

A shot in each butt cheek, and a copay later, I still feel like hammered dog shit, but I guess slightly better....

I frikkin HATE being sick. I think I'm going to try that neti pot thing diablos30 was talking about...

Neti pots are awesome. If you have a good health food store near you buy some infused sea salt for it. Barska is the brand I use. If your nasal passages are swollen shut you can double the dose. Don't do that with premixed packages from cvs. In use half a tsp every day. When I'm getting sick I up it to a full tsp.

You can also mix a half tsp of coconut oil in to help restore ph and soothe dried sinuses.

If you start getting a sinus infection a half tsp of honey mixed in with the salt acts like a bacteriostat. Works great.

I'm no dr these are my own recipes based on 15 years of chronic sinus infections.

Third day of the flu. Fever of 102.4 and uncontrollable shivering have passed. I maybe, just maybe, have this thing on the ropes. Been taking Airborne for the last two days along with Alka Seltzer Plus. It seems to have helped. If I have a relapse and expire.......Tsheaffer MUST not be allowed to contact my widow!

I'll take care of selling your guns for her so that she will have time to grieve. You know, because I'm nice like that.

We've had some form or another of sickness in our house since early November. Mine has been all chest congestion. Started with slight chest pains. Turned into bucket loads of snot flem being shot up with every cough. Wife and our oldest had something resembling the flu. Youngest had a cold. Then the kids had the 48 stomach shits. Now the wife is wrapping up a double eye infection.

Gonna meet my deductible early this year...hooray?

You should be able to find it at any natural foods store or vitamin store (Whole Foods, Vitamin Shoppe...). Barring that, Amazon. DoTerra or NOW are decent brands.

Me, grandson, both daughters and son-in-law. Fever, chills, vomiting, diarreah, body aches.
SIL and oldest daughter ended up at Urgent Care and ER respectively for IV Fluids due to dehydration. Grandson is at other grandparents house for a couple of days.
I'm beginning to feel better.

I located a place that sells pure "medical grade" peppermint oil and not that aroma therapy stuff. The native american guy who also sells ear wax candle over on 53 across from the hobby shop. I'll be giving that a try at some point today at the suggestion of @Tomb Raider as well as a couple dozen private messages on facebook from trusted friends.

Y'all get well. Colds are a pa in in the dru atmosphere we create for ourselves by running the heat. Perhaps a humidifier by the bed might help and some saline spray for the nose.

Disclaimer: I am not a medical professional AND I didnt stay at the Holiday Inn Express last night.

Between the NetiPot relentlessness and sweating it out at the gym last nigt...I'm feeling mostly cured. There's still a little crud breaking loose and my sinuses are sore from the few days of constant pressure, feels like someone the same size as @1911gobang punched me in the face.
